I know that it then wouldn't be you making your own pattern PLUS it's crochet, but if you want to re-create the Sezane cardigan, the Dona Cardigan by Lola Crochet is a really spot on dupe. I just finished it, and it is a super duper fun project! ☺🌟

There is no way that tiny baby sweater can go over a baby’s head. You need to make it much larger and add some type of closure on the shoulder.

Ngl, and maybe it was just for me, but this tutorial was just frustrating. I can learn visually, but it takes me so much longer without any verbal explanations or a slower visual walkthrough. Ik she does use some verbal direction but “essentially you wrap the yarn around your thumb and then the needles” isn’t much to go off of. 😭 I had to rewind and play the video in .25x to actually see what was going on and seeing how my thumb had to go under. Also with the actual knitting. Girl- wrap around, pull through until I see loop then push it for which needle- and which loop 💀 I didn’t go much further cause I saw you were teaching other stitches. Maybe it’s cause knitting is more difficult than crochet that I’m having a hard time, but my yarn keeps falling off and getting tangled, I’m not sure where to hold it. I see so many others really benefited from the tutorial, so maybe it is just me, though if so I don’t think I’ll ever learn/enjoy knitting if that’s the case 😭

Watching the live after it aired but wanted to comment on the mothers and fathers day and why we don't get a day to celebrate our existence. When I was a teen, I brought up the subject with my mom and said it was really unfair. lmao So she suggested we just get breakfast in bed and presents on Youth Day haha. So now, every 16th June, we still get presents and I'm almost 25 😂

Beautiful yarn haul :~) with regards to why the goat blend fiber was labeled “worsted,” it’s related to how the unspun fiber was prepared! The size class “worsted” for prepared yarn came after the preparation type “worsted” for unspun fibers. The alternative is “woolen” preparation. From Spin-off Magazine: “Most authors of spinning articles and workshop mentors generally agree that true worsted yarn is spun from fibers 3 inches or longer, handcombed with English-style combs to remove shorter fibers, with the remaining long fibers in a parallel arrangement, using short draw, with the orifice (or spinning) hand leading the twist into the drafted fibers. There is also general agreement that true woolen yarn is spun from a rolag made with handcards, with the short and long fibers (usually all less than 3 inches long) in a random arrangement, using long draw, and allowing the twist to enter the fibers unrestricted.”

Yes to the Cos bag! I have seen that bag in store and definitely had a „I could make that?!“-moment. But I can’t crochet lol. Also I am in awe how easy you open those hanks of yarn and wind them back together. I am still terrified of it untangling on me and I‘ll never be able to wind it lol

What kind of needle do you recommend? The one with the needles together or the singular ones?

Is the Lang Cloud in the 2 shades not wound “inverted”? So it starts deep and dark and the further it goes it becomes lighter? So one is wound from dark to light and the other from light to dark
